#EIF2019 Good and not so good, in a 3-form-entry Junior school.

3 form junior school. 3 OIs on day one and 2 on day 2.

Ofsted 2 weeks ago, sounds like you have had similar feedback to my experience. Very knowledgeable lead inspector and most of my work was on the initial phone call and the ‘Keep-In-Touch’ sessions. Very short subject leader meetings followed by plenty of time in classrooms, talking to teachers and children while looking through books. Only data conversation was the initial call summarising KS2 outcomes. Only issue was timetabling the deep dives. 6 deep dives on day 1 meant 4 middle leaders (and strong teachers) out of class for almost the whole morning. I complained and it was reduced to 5. This did mean that some teachers had LOTS of lesson visits though!

Class teachers did nothing to prepare. Middle leaders needed training in talking about curriculum design and articulating strategy.

Thank you so much to my writer!
