The summer Year 1 phonics test is coming into view………. I’ve have had groups of pupils out for phonics reading. The groups have been chosen by me and have usually been a threesome of HA/MA/LA readers in Year 2 and Year1.
If you would like help in preparing your staff/pupils for the test, we have a phonics expert (an ex-LA consultant) whom we can call on. She would be prepared to work either on a short-term basis with phonics training/observations, or to work on a longer residency basis, working with your staff and pupils, to introduce a synthetic phonics programme, including teaching phonics alongside staff. She has already worked in schools with great success!
